SKIN CONSULTATION
First, we need to understand your skin. We’ll examine your texture, any scarring, and overall condition. Then we’ll explain exactly how microneedling can help your specific concerns and create your treatment plan.
GETTING YOU COMFORTABLE
On treatment day, we thoroughly cleanse your skin and apply a proper numbing cream. While that’s working (about 30-45 minutes), we’ll prepare any serums or growth factors we’re using for your treatment.
THE TREATMENT
Using our advanced device, we work systematically across your skin. Different areas get different treatment – deeper for scars, gentler for fine lines. Most people say it feels like mild scratching or vibration rather than pain. The whole thing takes about 30-45 minutes.
IMMEDIATE AFTERCARE
Right after treatment, we apply soothing serums and SPF. Your skin will be red and warm – totally normal. We’ll give you quality aftercare products and clear instructions on how to look after your skin.
WATCHING YOUR RESULTS
You’ll see initial improvements within days – a lovely glow. The real changes in texture and scarring develop over 4-6 weeks as new collagen forms. For best results, most people need 3-6 sessions spaced about a month apart.

It depends on what we’re treating. For general skin rejuvenation and minor texture issues, 3-4 sessions usually do the trick. Acne scarring typically needs 4-6 sessions, while deep scars might need 6-8. We space sessions 4-6 weeks apart – your skin needs time to build new collagen between treatments. Some lucky people see significant improvement after just one session, but the results are cumulative – each treatment builds on the last. After your initial course, an annual top-up helps maintain your results. During your consultation, we’ll look at your skin and give you a realistic idea of what you’ll need to achieve your goals.
Most people are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it is. We use a prescription-strength numbing cream for 30-45 minutes before treatment, which makes a huge difference. During treatment, you’ll feel vibration and maybe some mild scratching sensation rather than actual pain. The upper lip and around the eyes might feel more sensitive, but it’s over quickly. Afterwards, your skin feels like mild sunburn – warm and tight but not painful. We give you cooling products to take home. The fact that most patients come back for multiple sessions tells you it’s really tolerable!
The downtime is minimal, which is why people love this treatment. Straight after, your skin will be red and warm, like you’ve caught the sun. This usually calms down within 24-48 hours, though some people stay pink for up to 3 days. You might get slight swelling, especially around the eyes, but this settles within 2 days. Around days 3-5, you might notice some flaking as your skin renews itself. Most people feel fine going to work the next day – you can use mineral makeup if needed. Just avoid the gym, swimming, and heavy makeup for 48 hours. The main thing is sun protection while you’re healing. Your exact downtime depends on how deep we go – treating scars needs more intensive work than general rejuvenation.
Absolutely! Some of our best results come from combination treatments. The most popular is the ‘Vampire Facial’ – microneedling with PRP. Your own growth factors penetrate through the channels for enhanced results. We also love combining it with growth factors, hyaluronic acid serums, or vitamin cocktails during treatment. For overall rejuvenation, we might alternate microneedling with chemical peels or LED therapy. You can have Botox 2 weeks before or after microneedling. We just avoid heat treatments (like laser or radiofrequency) at the same time. During your consultation, we’ll design a combination plan that gets you the best results while keeping your skin happy.
